IMPACT'S VISION
Who we are:
Impact is a Spirit-filled Christian campus ministry that was started in 2009 by two students who desired to see classmates draw closer to God during their college journey. Despite the ups and downs of college, we believe that you can thrive on campus with a relationship with Jesus Christ.
We believe strongly in the commission Jesus gave to his disciples, “GO ye into all the world preaching the gospel to every creature (person) … Teach all nations baptizing them in the name ...” (Mark 16:15, Matthew 28:19) No matter the day or the time, if you need prayer, fellowship, or a bible study, we will come to your dorm, apartment, job, or class. We will come to you! You determine when and where, and we are there.
Impact UMD has grown into a very active campus ministry and a College Park church plant. January 31st, 2023 marked the official launch of a permanent church plant in College Park known as, Antioch College Park, Impact UMD’s home church.
Impact is a place where you can feel loved, and accepted, and most importantly, a place where you can experience the presence and power of God in a tangible way! (Impact UMD campus ministry has touched many students over the years, you can read past student’s testimonies under our “stories” tab)
Impact UMD is more than a ministry … We are a community. We are a family.
When we meet:
Tuesday: 7:30pm, Campus Ministry Worship & Word – Jimenez Building, Room 0220
Sundays: 4pm, Worship Service – UMD Memorial Chapel (Garden Side)
Dorm Life Groups: TBD
What if I don't consider myself to be religious?
Impact is open to anyone. We are a Christian ministry that stands on certain biblical principals but we would never turn anyone away. We have many get-togethers outside of our services, including dorm dinners and game nights. You are welcome to come to any of our events. We hope to see you there!
Do you have bible studies or small groups?
Yes! We have one-on-one bible studies and small group bible studies going on throughout the week at multiple times. Just send us your name and contact info. We will set up a time with you as soon as possible!
We Love
To Worship
It is rare to not have music at our events.. Why? We love to worship and sing to God because the bible talks about how God loves when His creation worships and exalts Him. He even promises us that he will pour out His presence when we do so. We are so thankful to experience the spirit of God every week. We love to worship!
